Note: Not everything I post is “ad-busting” or “feminist” or deep or thoughtful. Sometimes the stuff I post is just fun, silly, quirky, etc. and that’s OK.

The bedroom clearly belongs to a young girl. The single bed, toys and colourful books all point to it being a 13-year-old’s room (or somewhere in that age range). And then there’s the model herself who also looks very young. This whole thing is just creepy in a pedophilic kind of way.

Another friggin’ Marc Jacobs ad with a super young girl in a vulnerable position.

She looks so fragile and so very young. Another example of women looking child-like and submissive in advertisements. (Here’s another creepy Marc Jacobs ad with a very young model.)

*UPDATE* Some readers just informed me that the model in this image is 13-year-old Elle Fanning, the younger sister of Dakota Fanning. I think it’s fucked up that Marc Jacobs is using a 13-year-old girl to market products to grown women.

Horses don’t smell very good. Personally, I would avoid using smelly animals in fragrance advertisements.

Dakota Fanning was 17 when this ad was made. It was banned in Britain for over-sexualizing a minor.
